My mission is to help mothers tune in to their needs before they burn out, and to help them restore self-care if they are already exhausted.  My approach blends 15 years of homeschooling experience with my healing journey, so that you feel supported, understood and confident as you create a calm, balanced and purpose-filled life.

I work with homeschooling mothers with neurodivergent children who are overwhelmed and struggling to balance their days. Maybe you're dealing with incessant demands and emotional disregulation, or you are exhausted and feel disconnected to yourself.  Or perhaps you have a chronic illness such as CFS, POTS or Long Covid. My clients  tend to be big hearted people who long to cultivate a more peaceful routine, maintain close connections, but have a hard time setting boundaries, and want a calmer daily rhythm that allows for inner harmony and purpose while navigating the daily challenges of family life.   

 

After recovering from chronic health issues and burnout that resulted from suppressing my own needs and emotions for too long,  I have learned and can share the tools that helped me get well, and I now support other mamas with intense caregiving roles to finally prioritize self-care and show up differently in response to life's ups and downs.  Every day brings new opportunities for personal growth in this way, and shifting our mindset along with developing skillful ways of being not only with our kids but with ourselves, opens a doorway for more spaciousness, curiosity, joy, meaningful connections, personal fulfillment, fun and well-being to emerge.

By working together, we can co-create personalized strategies and approaches to self-care and other challenges you face as a homeschooling parent of high-needs kids. Through drawing on different mind-body practices, healing modalities and other resources, you can learn to refocus on your need for fulfillment, boundaries, honouring your emotions, and other facets essential to your wellbeing.

 

Each session is a "time in" to explore, reflect and find ways to care for yourself and to build the calm, meaningful life you desire. By showing up for yourself, you can, in turn, show up for your children and others in a way that includes self- compassion and love, and that fits with your deepest values and highest self.

The journey to fulfillment and inner harmony in the midst of life's challenges is ongoing and multifaceted. Often, the more we tune in and respond to our own needs, bringing calm and peace from within, the more easily and calmly we can do the same for our children. Having children with higher needs often means we are in survival mode much of the time, and turning inward is the first thing to go. 

 

Through therapeutic coaching and education, clients discover how to resource themselves more fully, finding balance, and relating to themselves with the kindness and care they show others. In this way, a client's transformation through new self-awareness and nurturing self-care habits, can benefit the whole family.
